This Health & Safety training course is aimed at covering the key areas leaders are legally required to ensure their staff have received training for.

This training will help staff understand their individual responsibilities within the organisation as well as how they can contribute to the health and safety procedures implemented by the management. This is an essential training to ensure safeguards are in place to prevent unfortunate incidents as well to inform staff of what to do if a situation occurs.

Course content:

Every education provider must comply with the legal requirements which fall under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and its associated regulations. The leadership and management of educational institutes must ensure all staff are aware of health and safety regulations are able to recognise, follow and implement the appropriate actions to minimise the risk of injury to students and staff.

This health and safety course is designed to provide staff with the skills and knowledge to comply with regulations, addressing the key areas within educational settings in which they must demonstrate sound knowledge, as well as training them on how to handle situations competently. Capably trained staff will provide confidence to leadership and management teams and allow them to plan and execute their health and safety strategy more effectively.

Upon completion of the training, all attendees will receive certificates of attendance.

 

Expected outcomes:

By the end of this session, staff will be able to:

  • Understand Health & Safety policies and procedures such as first aid, fire and emergencies, hazardous substances and lone working
  • Understand the process for undertaking a risk assessment
  • Understand how communication and consultation in the Madrassah improves Health & Safety for all
  • Inspect and monitor equipment to ensure it is safe to use
